Clarkey says:
Well really it was due to my dad. He used to watch during the beginning of the WWF popularity drive over here in the UK. From him watching the shows I was drawn in, and the first show I remember is Survivor Series 1990, with the debut of the Undertaker.
MTW says:
Is WWE/F the only company you follow or have followed?
Clarkey says:
Well I followed some of WCW, and quite a bit of ECW, but in the main I have followed WWF/E
MTW says:
You were at Revival right? What did you think of the UK wrestling?
Clarkey says:
Yes I was. And I was very impressed with UK wrestling. I went expecting the Uk guys to just be your average run of the mill guys, and i was excited at the prospet of seeing Eddie Guerrero. But i left with my adrenaline running sky high. Johnny Storm and Jody Fliesch were superb, as was Doug Williams. I couldn;t believe how gifted the guys were in the ring, and its such a shame theres
Clarkey says:
not a huge comapny here to showcase their talents
MTW says:
Do you think thats ever likely to change?
Clarkey says:
Not in the near future, unless someone with money steps out and makes a change. I've heard of the wrestling channel possibly being established and that can only be great news. But until one of the big coporations decide to pick up the rights and makes the appropriate funding, I can;t see anything to challenge Vince over in the States.
MTW says:
There is a lot of apathy towards wrestling these days. Many of the members of smash dont even watch anymore. Are you as enthusiastic as ever about the product?
Clarkey says:
I can see the strides to make improvements. I think we all just need to take a step back and give them time to change things.
Clarkey says:
The roster split was a big step, but it has forced Vince to establish younger talents. And that can only be great for the future. Two years ago we would never have seen guys like Randy Orton, John Cena and brock Lesnar comin on board so early in their careers and making a name.
MTW says:
What do you think about the split ppvs?
Clarkey says:
I'm very pleased. It gives the under card of each show to establish their fueds on tv into PPV fueds, thuse making better television. Also it gives more time for the Womens Division on Raw, and the CW division on SD to display themselves on the PPV stage. Again it will take a while to adjust, but when everything clicks it can only mean great things for the future of the WWE.
MTW says:
Nash vs Hunter in a Hell in a cell. Do anything for you?
Clarkey says:
I look to the Hell and the Cell stipulation and think, theres got to be something good happen. HHH when given the right situation can usually pull out a good match. Nash needs to establish himself to the new crowd, not the guys who watched him three/four years ago. Thats why I don;t just see nash going over, but Nash doing something that we remember the match by. Or thats what I'm hoping.
MTW says:
On the Smackdown side all indications are that Kurt Angle is returning as a babyface. Good or Bad in your opinion?
Clarkey says:
I think its great. People keep saying how 'Kurt Angle is the greatest WWF/E wrestler ever'. Well thats the challenge, now Kurt has to prove it. Kurt has said it himself, and he can only achieve that in my opinion by turning face. He can only prove that by making Kurt Angle a marketing franchise on a scale with guys like Hulk Hogan, like Bret Hart. The guys whom can return on any given night
Clarkey says:
and are guaranteed to get a huge welcome
Clarkey says:
he can only prove to be the best by continuing over the next three to four years to improve. Everyone and i repeat everyone has room to improve
MTW says:
Right then. Lowering the tone - If you had to choose, which would it be - Sex with Victoria or a decent Steven Richards push?
Clarkey says:
Thats a toughy, but no matter how good Viccy looks I'd have to prompt for a IC title push for Steven.
Clarkey says:
But as lon as Viccy keeps wearing her new top or less I think we'll all be glad to see Steven
MTW says:
I figured you'd pick Steven, but had to ask anyway. Moving away from wrestling now. Do you work? Uni? School?
Clarkey says:
I'm in sixth form at current. But after my exams I move onto a years foundation course in Art at College....then finally onto University.
Clarkey says:
I work at Sittingbourne Dog Track, where I'm a chef
MTW says:
What are you hoping to do in the future then career wise?
Clarkey says:
I'd like to move into Graphic design, but I am doing the foundation year to find out what i am best at...and to continue to improve. Then when i do eventually go to university i will doing the Art course that suits me best.
MTW says:
Cool. Good luck with that. You seeing anyone right now?
Clarkey says:
Nope, free and single. ;-), so any takers :-)
MTW says:
Dont look at me mate ;-) What do you like to do in your spare time?
Clarkey says:
Hehe. Well, I;m an avid football fan (its not called soccer you us guys urgh!) I like to do what all us regular Uk guys do, eat, sleep, drink . I'm into my Art and do a lot of work based on that in my spare time......but most it is Computer gaming.
MTW says:
You run a games section on a wrestling site dont you?
Clarkey says:
Yep 'plug alert' on Prowrestling.com I'm a reporter in the games section.
MTW says:
How long have you being doing that?
Clarkey says:
about four months
MTW says:
And hows it going?
Clarkey says:
Very good. Tracey Russell, whom runs everything there has just purchased the domain for 'Gamingview.com' and they have very big things planned for it. So watch this space with that one. SD 5 - Here comes the Pain, and Raw 2 look to be the greatest wrestling games potentially i personally have seen in a long time. I just wish i was living in the US o i could fufil an ambition of mine and gone
Clarkey says:
to E3
MTW says:
Is this something youd like to pursue?
Clarkey says:
If possible I would. I love every aspect of the games industry, maybe its due to my interest in Art. I have been looking at the possibilties but i need to get the grades first - a good lesson for all you young peeps on Smash ;-)
MTW says:
Yeah stay in school and dont do drugs and all that stuff. Right, on to Smash. How did you come to find Smash originally?
Clarkey says:
Well, I was lookig for a decent wrestling site to get some news from. I found Smash a long long time ago, but never found out there was a forum until about a month after it started. So i signed up and haven't looked back ever since.
MTW says:
You were made a mod not so long ago which came out of nowhere, at least considering all the fuss that surrounded you and a mod position on the old smash. For the benefit of those who werent around at the time, tell us about the history surrounding you becoming a mod.
Clarkey says:
Well on the old smash I was top poster, and was one of the popular guys around then. I was pretty well liked and everything felt great. Mike Aldren took it upon himself to open up a poll on whether Clarkey should be the next moderator. I was so surprised, and thought that Aldren had talked to everyone concerned, tony, angelo before starting this thread. I got a hell of a load of votes and felt
Clarkey says:
that meant i would be made a moderator. Then it hit, and Tony (Inno), said that i wouldn't be made the moderator. I got angry and peed off and acted like a spoilt little Teenager, as thats what i was like at the time. I felt i was screwed but now when i look back I know Tony was exactly right. Then on this new smash the guys decided they needed some new moderators. Sadly this coinspired with
Clarkey says:
the time I posted a topic that we don;t need as many moderators. I never knew i was chosen to become one. Angelo made me a moderator over night when i wasn;t online, and Tony imformed him about my thread and about five minutes later i had it taken away. I got so angry because neither Tony nor Angelo told me what had happened. I only found out what happened when RVDsucka asked why I was made a
Clarkey says:
moderator for about five minutes
Clarkey says:
Now to cut this story off (lol) Tony made me mod earlier this year bcause Angelo asked him to find two new mods, my name and Fonzs came up first so it happened. I was surprised as anyone.
Clarkey says:
buts thats it really
MTW says:
Enjoying it?
Clarkey says:
yeah its been fun. I may have peed some people off by the way I constantly censor swearing and stop topics going off the suject matter, but hey i do what i feel is apprioate
Clarkey says:
appropriate
MTW says:
Some people? Care to bitch... er... I mean share?
Clarkey says:
I hate to name names but i think people will have seen that Malenkomark seems to dislike the way I have been doing things. I accept it does look like I'm picking on him, but i'm not. Its just he seems to be the guy in the wrong place at the wrong time doing the wrong thing. I'm sure in the future others will feel the same
MTW says:
Okay then. Right, we couldnt go through this intire interview without mentioning it. Yes, I'm talking about THAT stable. Come on Clarkey - Give us what we want - Give us a history lesson of the CPA!
Clarkey says:
I was waiting for it. Well it started with a little friendly fued being established between myself and Phobic against Scorpian988 and Gunn is number one. We agreed to have a tag match, but me and Phobic had a cunning plan! We made up a name for ourselves, the Clarkey and Phobic Alliance, and the plan was to get as many members for the group as we could so it be two vs the forum as such. The
Clarkey says:
guys never showed so the CPA stuck around, being the first stable on smash. Others came around, like my mates in the RRA, and later former CPA guys disinformation X, but I like to feel me and Phobic started a kind of trend here in smash
Clarkey says:
until the guys ruined it earlier this year
MTW says:
It did get pretty bad didnt it?
Clarkey says:
No I meant the ridding of stables this year. The CPA was just a bit of fun that in end got too serious. Guys walked out, set up groups to make fun of me......it got kind of bitchy.
Clarkey says:
so it ended
MTW says:
I was actually referring to the end of the stables earlier this year, but you're right the CPA did end pretty harshly aswell. Something a bit lighter - Whats your favourite Rock88 gimmick?
Clarkey says:
Ah Mr Rock, I only ever knew as Rock88 so thats has to be my favourite.
Clarkey says:
the old copying the banners and stuff - classic
MTW says:
Yeah that was classic when Sam showed up. While we're on the subject of banned losers, who has been your personal favourite?
Clarkey says:
Ah so many, but mine has to be the original Johnny Knoxville and Purple Dinosaur
Clarkey says:
so much fun
MTW says:
Whats been your favourite memories of Smash?
Clarkey says:
So many to name. The CPA used to be great at the start. The old debates on the old smash (when wrestling was at the peek in this attitude era). I think my best memories have always been my fueds with tony. I know i shouldn;t have but the first ones I thought were so much fun, you know to see how far you could push him. See what you could get him to say - that followed the mod vote incident.
Clarkey says:
I was a immature teenager having a laugh, and i certainly had that
Clarkey says:
I'd like to think I've matured now
MTW says:
What a rascal. Right, its the last bit now. The Namecheck bit. I give you someones name and you tell me what you think of them. This is the bit where everyone skips to first to see if they got a mention. Well I'm sorry Y2Jam - no you didn't so there. Right, you ready?
Clarkey says:
I'm as ready as ever
Clarkey says:
don't be offended guys !

MTW says:

Clarkey says:
the man, so many arguements, so mcuh stick I've given him but in the end we've got along some how.
MTW says:
Inno (when you were less mature)
Clarkey says:
ah a power hungry git who didn;t want someone to steal his spotlight as a moderator. The people wanted Clarkey, Inno was scared they;d never look back..........Never Fear my friends
MTW says:
Lol, MalenkoMark
Clarkey says:
I respect his views, the guys alright, but he seems to look for arguements in my opinion
MTW says:
And finally..... "drumroll" Y2JAM!!! (What a swerve!)
Clarkey says:
Y2 who? Nah only kidding, I really don;t know what this guys like but he seem okay. I;m a popular man, ( ) I can;t scout everyone
MTW says:
Well thanks very much for your time Clarkey.
Clarkey says:
Thank you for giving me the chance
Clarkey says:

MTW says:
