How did you first get into wrestling?

My grandfather was a huge fan back in the 70's. Watching the AWA on Saturday mornings.

Well the WWE has been the main one since they formed, loved watching the UWF, NWA, AWA, Allstar Wrestling, a bit of WCW. Missed the ECW uprising. There were alot of indy feds rolling through my town when I was a kid

Did you attend a lot of those shows?
Edgerulez says:
A few, it was in a 300 seat arena so there wasnt a bad seatin the house. They ussally had a few local guys in the matches, making the face saves, the adrenalin in the building was unbelievable. Vampiro and Dan Krofat (the second one) got their early starts there.

What have been the main changes in wrestling over the years in your own eyes?

The loss of big Indy feds and the mergence of National/World Feds, which has made it more mainstream. The sexual content has risen 500 times what it was back in the 80's.

The dedication of the wrestlers to every aspect of the biz is alot more intense as well.

Are you still as enthusiastic as ever about wrestling today?

It comes and goes. Right now I would consider myself to be more of a casual fan then die hard. Nothing is really pulling me in. I watch every PPV but tend to miss alot of SD and RAW. Might because it is summer as well.

The WWE has just finished putting out its first two "brand" PPVs. I know in the past that youve opposed the brand extension, but after Bad Blood and Vengeance has your opinion changed at all?

Well both PPV were good, they seemed to be more polished and put together, guess that is because of the Brand Extension, so maybe it has some good qualities after all. And yes I dont like the Brand Extension, more or less I think it limits them when it comes to fueds and replacements for injuries. They seem to have no more upper level wrestlers. Your either Main eventer or midcarder. That then pushes other very good midcarders down to the lower card or Heat.

I work at a Sawmill and am currently a lumber grader.

Actually I do, I goto work put in my 8 hours, and leave it there. When I get home I am stress free from work and can enjoy time with my family. Stress at work can cause all sorts of problems at home if not dealt with correctly.

Golf, surf the net, golf, watch football (NFL) and hockey, golf. Of course doing things with my family is the most enjoyable thing for me (golf comes a close second).

To tell the truth I cant remember. I think I found it by a search engine. I was on the last ver Smash before it went down. Posted a bit, never really bought into the whole message board thing. Smash is the only message board I post at on the entire Web.

hhhmmmm, Dis-X, it allowed me to get to know alot of the more estblished members from the original board. A few different feuds with banned members.

You're one of the longest serving mods on the board now. Whats your opinions on the moderation of the forum ie strictness of the rules, mods etc?

I think we are doing a fair job, it is actually quite easy seeing we have responsible members. Even though I dont post on any other boards I do visit a few, for research purposes, and find they have 3 pages of rules or it is total caos and no structure to them. Between the Mod Squad and the members we have made SmashWrestling one of the best wrestling forums out there. A special thank you to you guys for making it easy.

Yes and No. When we do have a flood of trouble it can be a pain in the ass. Also some guys cant seperate you as a member and you as a MOD. When I am not editting, warning, moving or giving stikes, I am a member just like everyone else. Some guys think because I tell then off or give then the gears they think I am doing it as a MOD and power tripping (see the locked simpsons trivia thread).

Actually I still talk with Luis every so often, I think he is an OK guy, made a few mistakes and ended up paying dearly. His original persona is my favorite.

ooohhhh, I knew we get here eventually. Its no seceret that him and I have had a few explosive arguemants. Lets see.... I have and always will say that MalenkoMARK is a vast knowledge of the Indy scene today and would be a very valuable mameber around any wrestling forum. His problem, which became our problem, was his unnatual hatered of a man he never met. If you recall almost every post he made he tried to drag in his very strong opinion about the WWF( E my Ass ). I also was able to call him on a few errors on his part and he didnt like it. He had a real problem with me and I am not to sure why, maybe its back to being a MOD. The best thing of his banning is I told him he didnt need my help to get banned, and that is what he did, I wasnt involved in any doing of his banning, he did it all by himself.

Concerning the fonzgate "scandal" - What did you think at the time and what do you think now about it?

At the time I was confused. I talk to Callum off forums alot and couldnt figure out why it was happening. I start to conspirecy theoroize why he was acting that way, then the truth came out. At first I was releived, I had thought something was happening to him and was a tad concerned. In hind site I think the whole think backfired from its original intent. Myself I think it was a classic, I found it very funny and entertaining. Alot of other didnt get it. But i am not sure why they were so upset. If anyone should of been upset it should of been us MODs that had to do all the work to keep the forums within the rules.
