SeeDub

MTW says:
How did you first get into wrestling?

SeeDub says:
Well I first saw wrestling back in Hogan’s first day, but I didn’t think much of it to be honest. Back in 2000 my cousin loved wrestling and he had the first ‘Smackdown’ game. I got addicted to this, and after seeing some PPV’s I got addicted to the then-WWF.

MTW says:
What did you think of it back then?

SeeDub says:
Nothing much, I was very young so I didn't think 'Oh it's fake, so it's lame!" or anything like that. Just indifferent to it, really.

MTW says:
Is WWE the only company you have followed?

SeeDub says:
On a regular basis, yes. I watched the occasional viewing of the final year of WCW and I was a big fan of ECW which I saw repeats of on Bravo occasionally. Recently I’ve seen many clips of CZW, TNA and RoH and I love them all. But WWE is the only wrestling federation I’ve watched with any considerable consistency.

MTW says:
Are you still enthusuastic about the sport today?

SeeDub says:
Hmm…I wouldn’t say enthusiastic, no. I rarely ‘mark out’ anymore. I still love it in the sense that if I missed a PPV I’d be pretty annoyed, but I rarely get excited over the prospect of a match these days.

MTW says:
Did you catch Sunday's PPV?

SeeDub says:
Yeah.

MTW says:
What did you think?

SeeDub says:
It was obviously a lot better than what we all expected, but it wasn’t a brilliant PPV either. It was enjoyable to stay up for the ‘experience’ of a PPV, but it was average at best Dupree impressed me in his match with Cena and I’m starting to like hi mmore because of it. Mysterio was amazing and RVD was on form too. I’m glad Booker was put over nicely before he jobbed, and Eddie’s blade was sick.

MTW says:
What do you think about Smackdown in general these days?

SeeDub says:
Bah, it annoys me so. It really seemed that the WWE wanted to make something of the cruiserweight title with it’s amazing set of champions previous to Jackie. But then they had to go and do it… I used to really enjoy Smackdown, but I don’t much anymore. I wouldn’t put it down to Benny leaving like others have said, but it just doesn’t seem as good now.

MTW says:
Who's your favourite jobber?

SeeDub says:
Edgerulez

SeeDub says:
Oh, WWE? Paul London.

MTW says:
I sets em up, Seedub knocks em down. Okay, getting off the wrestling questions. What do you do for a living?

SeeDub says:
I'm a lazy ass person who lazes around being lazy all day... ...AKA a student.

SeeDub says:
No job as of yet, but after I finish my A Levels I'm getting one.

MTW says:
In what field?

SeeDub says:
Well, I’m not looking for a full time job yet, but I wouldn’t mind having something slightly related to the career paths I want to take in the future. So I’d be looking into some form of computer technician occupation, or I’d like to pursue my writing skills and try my hand at journalism in some form.

MTW says:
So are you going into full time employment once you finish or will that be part time and further education?

SeeDub says:
Part time, because I'm thinking of doing a third year in sixth form college.

MTW says:
What do you like to do for fun?

SeeDub says:
It’ll sound cheesy but it’s true. Rock! I love rock music and I demand it on tap for large portions of the day. I like going to occasional gigs but mostly I like just listening with my headphones or very loud speakers. I like Gaming, Film and some Sport. But other than that I like usual: going out with friends, maybe a club (eek) but just generally have a laugh.

MTW says:
Sounds good. Now on to smash. How did you come to find smash?

SeeDub says:
Just like the huge influx of members that joined when I did, I was an avid listener of talkSPORT. I was a big fan of Tommy Boyd long before the wrestling show came along, so when I heard he was doing one, it was an added bonus. I joined in June 2001, I believe, when I was bored on my work experience.

MTW says:
Explain for everyone the comical reason many people thought you were a girl for so long.

SeeDub says:
This is either a really hard question, or a really easy question. That’s because I never knew myself! I always assumed it was because my original Smash moniker was ‘CWO_Lita’ and people just assumed that because I had a female in my name, I was one myself. Other than that, it could be because I often jokingly around act like a woman, commenting on fashion and ‘how nice your hair looks today’.

SeeDub says:
Being an ex-textiles student certainly doesn’t help my reputation, mind.

MTW says:
So just to confirm: Seedub is a guy. Do you feel Smash has changed a lot since you first joined?

SeeDub says:
Yes, huge amounts. It's better in some ways but I miss the old board in huge amounts. I think we have a nice group of intelligent, amusing members on Smash’s current incarnation, but I remember the original site being a lot more of a friendly place.

SeeDub says:
There were no heavy rules as such, just fundamental human decency and respect for your fellow posters. I think we have a great set of moderators that do their job very well, but I think I just miss some of the Smash veterans.

MTW says:
Whats been some of your favourite memories?

SeeDub says:
I’ve always had a horrible LTM so this is going to be hard to think of anything. Uhh…nah sorry this is too hard, I can’t think of anything specific! Really the good memories are just the excellent members (As well as the insane ones) and what they’ve contributed to smash. No big event as such comes to mind.

MTW says:
Well you must remember the controversies. Whats been your favourite Smash Controversy?

SeeDub says:
Well when I think of controversy all I can think of are the bad ones, such as Fonzgate. Therock88 coming back again and again was funny at first but I can it got tiresome for the ‘mod squad’. One that sticks in my mind would be when stables were getting on a bit, and me and Clarkey had a set of huge arguments that lasted the best part of 6 months after the whole ERA/CPA crap.

SeeDub says:
I can guess*

MTW says:
What was your favourite Rock88 gimmick?

SeeDub says:
The original and best! His whole story about being an infamous DJ is too hard to beat.

MTW says:
Lol. Out of all the banned losers, who was your personal favourite?

SeeDub says:
Woody. Not because he was a particularly good poster, but from all the mocking that ensued the banning. Never have I seen so many ‘bad psychology’ taunts of something as simple as a post on smash. An honourable mention goes out to GOLDBERGmark, who was insane, but a cool guy

MTW says:
GOLDBERGmark lol. Old school!

SeeDub says:
Indeed

MTW says:
If the LG Hooker Curse could claim one member of Smash of your choice, who would it be and why?

SeeDub says:
If you asked me this 6 months ago, I would’ve screamed ‘thefonz’ at the drop of a hat. But now he’s a great poster, it has to be said. I guess I just didn’t ‘understand’ the humour he was portraying during the whole Fonzgate saga.

SeeDub says:
But seeing as ‘thefonz’ is cool now, I’m going to go for EdgeRulez. No beating around the bush here, but he’s the only guy on Smash currently who gets on my tits in the most annoying fashion. I probably do the same to him; I guess we just don’t mix.

SeeDub says:
For the Americans: 'Getting on my tits' is a bad thing!

MTW says:
Well you couldnt script a better lead in to my next question.

MTW says:
You, Edgerulez and allegedly an msn clique got into it the other week, stemming from the fonz leaving but it was clear the real issue at hand had been brewing for some time before that. Was there any conclusion to that incident outside of Smash or is there still a problem in your opinion?

SeeDub says:
There’s certainly been a conclusion with the ‘Clique’ thing. Well, there’s been a conclusion with ER and me over it anyway. On smash we had a nice healthy argument and we understand each other a lot more now, I feel. Banzai, Rock Bottom and whoever else is meant to be in the supposed ‘Clique’ might not have reached such a pinnacle in the ongoing adventures of Edgerulez vs the Clique.

SeeDub says:
I’m still not fond of ER, obviously, but I think we’re past the clique days now.

MTW says:
What was your thoughts on clarkey deciding to leave?

SeeDub says:
Clarkey, when he was a regular poster, was perhaps one of the best Smash posters there has ever been (As I have drunkenly admitted.) To see him go is sad because he’s a ‘veteran’, but in his final days he was a infrequent poster anyway.

SeeDub says:
I still don’t understand the point of asking for an account deactivation. When I left smash for a few months, I didn’t say anything, I just buggered off. Anybody who remotely gave a crap about me would have me on MSN at any rate

MTW says:
Whats your opinions on the moderators here on Smash?

SeeDub says:
They're all great at their job; I can't fault any of them. I might not particularly like a few of them, but that's something different.

MTW says:
Okay, well we're almost done now. All thats left is the name game. Everyone and their mum knows the rules, so Seedub, are you ready?

SeeDub says:
'Shoot.'

MTW says:

SeeDub says:

SeeDub says:
Needs to be a woman again, someday.

MTW says:
lol, and with that astute observation, thanks a lot to Seedub for taking the time to do this. Its been great

SeeDub says:
Later dayz, Bill!

Strongbad, he say go back!.
