Yes, he may well have a point that his character has been neglected - but is walking out on the company really the way to rectify it? Does keeping himself off TV, while the storylines are re-written because of his absence, really do the company or the fans any good? In his eyes, it does. Meanwhile, the locker room which supported the first walk out just after Wrestlemania merely grumbles at this latest bout of politics.
People were concerned with Nash & Michaels back in town - Austin is merely proving himself as big a prima donna as they are, if not more. I’m as big an Austin mark as anyone - but I think in this case, his actions, if not his cause, are wrong. He should be out in front of the cameras and fans as long as he possibly can - his surgically repaired neck and back won’t last forever - just ask DDP how it feels to have retired from the ring this week, when the major talking point is one man’s temper tantrum.
While he’s fit to work - he should do what’s required for the company and what’s asked of him by the guy who pays his wages. What you have is another Montreal situation in the works - and nobody, let alone Vince, wants or needs another PR disaster like that.
