| Puff was born Aloysius Charles Monkerson III, and lived the high life until the mid to late 1980's when he heard a Vanilla Ice record that changed his life forever.
He bought into the whole rap lifestyle, and changed his name to P-Monkey. He used the family fortune (he is the heir to the world famous Monkerson Peanut empire) to fund Jungle Gym records and cut his first record, the (self-proclaimed) autobiographical "My Childhood In Hell". The record, for the most part, bombed - but did gain one important fan - Monk E Heyman. Heyman an organised a private gig by P-Monkey, but on his way into Heyman's club, a rival gang attempted to assassinate Heyman. P-Monkey mistook it as an attempt on his life. He headed underground and plotted to take revenge on who he presumed was behind it - rival East Coast rapper Ice Banana. The next week, Ice was dead - P-Monkey had killed him in a drive-by shooting in a hail of lead, somewhat shocking the other passengers on the bus. P-Monkey begged Heyman to set him up with a new life, which he did. P-Monkey has been on the run ever since, and is still on the FBI most wanted list : He's currently placed at number 7. |
